Finishing of some site work in the Nipawin area, I headed back home. Driving through Melfort (population 6,000), I saw some streets were closed....and cars! I quickly pulled over and found a spot to park so I could check out the show. The Main Street of Melfort is quite a nice setting. There was a good mix of vehicles there.

Here are the pics of the odd and interesting spectrum of vehicles there.

The next two cars, I can appreciate the workmanship??? I like the idea that they are pushing the trends, but seriously, all I can think is, 'nope'.

Nice pictures Riley. Are you still working with the race car???

Thanks for sharing the photos.

Hey Murray! I'm not working with the race car this year which is too bad as it's the first year I've missed in 17 years. But with the two new kids, I don't have enough time for my own stuff so adding racing would have been too much.
The team pulled a feature win last race so it sounds like they're on track to another championship year!

Looks to be about that year. One thing I really like about the small town shows is all the odd cars you never see at the big shows.

Agree with you on the tubbed Gremlin, so many people hated them when they came out, I still think they look pretty good. This one was owned by Bert Strauss who for years raced a Chilly Willy a Willy's A/B Gasser and moved then to a Gremlin, still running as a gasser.

We were pretty close Riley.... I was on the Hanson Lake road on my way to Flin Flon about the time you were taking pictures I bet.... lol....

Great pics Riley! I love these small shows too. Such a great variety of cars! That's a sharp looking 84 GT350 there too. I used to own an 84-1/2 anniversary edition LX that was even more rare than the GT350's!
