Just sharing that I purchased two Key Fob Pouches for my FOBS for the C8. Just don't want to take unnecessary chances with getting the car stolen. Having read about how easy these things are to clone, better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the wise advice ABC. I'm convinced I should also get one. I see mixed reviews for the Faraday pouches on Amazon.ca, with some complaining they don't work or stop working after awhile. Most of the reviews however are positive; let us know what you think of yours.

Perhaps (?) there's a more expensive one which is "fool-proof" so it works 100% forever and w/o question and if anyone knows of one, let us know.

... as I pay for no loss coverage on my insurance policies (less deductible)
... I guess I won't need it for the first 5 years of coverage ...

I also have a no depreciation rider on my policy. But if your car is stolen, you simply will get your money back. Try getting another replacement in the next 2 years? You simply go to the back of the line. I did not invest a year of waiting to find myself in the position of no car so quickly. Granted, I will not lose sleep with worry but taking simple steps to reduce the risk and for just a few bucks is good idea in my books. We have had neighbours that have had their cars stolen out of their driveway in the middle of the night. usually Lexus and Audis. So far I like the pouches. A little bigger than I thought but can still fit in a pocket.

Good you invest in the insurance rider, I had to use it once - wow and only two months before expiry (accident)... there is simply nothing wrong with a “free ride” after 5 years (less deductible). I invested over 50 years to get in the “front of the line” for my Corvette. Patience is a Virtue.
I have nothing against the pouches other than being a tiny nuisance to get the fob out of the pouch (like the club on the steering wheel) for hopping in and driving away. No big deal in exchange for peace of mind - which really does matter. If one of my Corvettes is stolen, I happen to have another just like it right beside it - peace of mind perhaps but I have to persuade the owner to let me drive her Corvette. 😇
