Finally joined the vette family, only took me 2yrs to finally be able to make it happen hahaha. Car is completely bone stock, and only thing I plan on adding this year as far as mods go is a vararam CAI. I have been thinking about maybe upgrading the exhaust depending on how far money goes lol, but just wondering what all the rest of you vette guru's use or think wold be best. Car is an 2007 with the 6 speed auto trans. Ill up load some pics this week after I get the windows tinted

Cheers

You could also get a used NPP (RPO code for dual mode) exhaust from the 08 and up cars. Combine that with a Mild 2 Wild switch and controller, you could have an open or closed exhaust at the press of a button. Loud when you want it, quiet when you don't. Best of both worlds.

I have the bi-mode exhaust on my GS Rob and really like it. It's a great feature and, as you say: the best of both worlds.:D

I'm just in the process of adding the Corsa sport exhaust on my 07
Rob

I have a Corsa Sport now on my C4. Great quality, easily fitted, and terrific sound without being intrusive. --

The biggest plus to me tho is that there is no drone at cruising speeds.
A top quality system IMHO.

Whats your budget....if you want cheap, try the stock exhaust mod. It involves drilling holes in your mufflers, check the american forum for details. You can do what I did, replaced mufflers with universal magnaflows. Sounds great for about $400 installed. If you have about $1200+ burning a hole in your pocket, corsa or borla.

Oh, and BTW, Corsa sports are on my Vette.

I also put the headers in, so they're a little louder than normal--and a little faster too!!

I liked the sound of Billy Boats--perhaps my favourite! Downside with this system is the drone--it would have killed me eventually. Best of both worlds are Corsa Sports. I did A LOT of research on this. Borlas sound great, but tend to drone as well. Magnaflow a little deeper/throatier, and are pretty good for drone--especially given the price.

there's some other VERY expensive exhausts (Akrapovic), and I'm not sure what they really sound like anyways, but they do look awesome!

Finally, Bassani exhaust is another one to look at. Maybe a little more understated in the sound department, but really interesting note. I believe Manny's Vette has Bassani, actually, which is real cool because VERY few people have them.

Here's a few samples of what some of the memebers have on a thread--it's a sticky one, so please put something in there if you pull the trigger on anytning.

Enjoy!

I have heard a lot of really good stuff about GHL as well, but have never heard a system or know of anyone that has them installed!? But still recommend to put them on the list.

I know I have a C5 but the Borla sound fantastic although prone to drone on the highway.

I have the GHL's on my C5 and love them. A very throaty low at idle, plenty loud when you get on it and no drone whatsoever...........love it.
Page 5 on the Exhaust Clip Library I have two clips of the GHL.

Just listened to your video clips. Not sure how I missed it before. I would totally consider the GHL's now. What a nice sound! I still really like the BB PRT's, Corsa Extremes and Borlas, but the GHL is a serious consideration if I was in the market for an exhaust.
