Ex GM Engineering on tuning the MRC on the C6

Hummm, very interesting considering the conditions of the roads here in Quebec. Around here, you dont buckle the safety belt to avoid ticket, it's to stay on the seat and IN the car when the window is open.
:carbounce::ohoh:
Yes, I know. I use to live there unfortunately.

Jim stopped by my place Oct. 3rd.to do the upgrade and shared a few stories and some videos. Didn't get a chance to drive the car until today because of the lousy weather. Jim did the new Tour and Supersport upgrade. There is now a distinct difference in the settings. Tour now takes the sting out of the bumps while it still allows the car to be agile, much more comfortable and corners flat. Steering seems to be crisper but the temperature was a little cool today and traction was an issue. Sport (Supersport) was immediately noticeable and though I couldn't really push the car It feels like I now have the best of both worlds. Tour is what tour should be and Sport (Supersport), though I couldn't really test it out feels like an improvement. Can't wait until I get a warmer day to see how it works.
Thanks Jim Mero!!!

And might I ask if it was less that what GM wants to upgrade our C-7's?

Not sure what most of the dealers want for a C7 but Jim Mero charges $325 USD for a C6 conversion. Not a bad price when you realize there is a money back guarantee if you don't like it and consider all the R&D put into the algorithms to get it right. You, as a C7 owner have the advantage of getting this done at the dealer who is close by and available across the country. I doubt you'll get a money back guarantee from any dealer. For C6 owners the only game in town is Jim Mero and he could charge a lot more if he wanted. Jim Is a Corvette guy and part of the Corvette community and true enthusiast that has spent a lot of time behind the wheel of our cars. That kind of experience is priceless.

That is under what I was told ($675CDN) at the GM dealer. Will shop around a bit more. Nope, no question on any money back. Was told there was no going back to the old settings once the update was installed. Almost sounded like they were trying to scare me out of the update. Plus they don't really know what they are doing as I had to bring them the bulletin so they could find out the price.

For those who would like this MRC calibration done on your C6, and don't want to tackle it yourself, I do the installations for Jim Mero. I'm just north of Waterdown On.
