With the new year comes new investment, hopes, dreams and possibly new events. In an effort to make life to event organizers a tad less stressful please find below some upcoming improvements to our events system, which is already the best, but now can be rated as the best x 2.1 maybe.

🌟 Event Rating & Reviews System

  • Introduced a full-fledged rating and review system, allowing users to submit ratings and detailed reviews.
  • Introduced the ability for users to add a title to each rating and review, providing greater context and readability. Titles are displayed with the review on event pages.

🌟 Latest Reviews Page & Ratings

  • Introduced configurable voting (upvoting/downvoting) for event reviews
  • Enabled attachments for event reviews, allowing users to upload images and videos.
  • Added the ability for users to mark events as "recommended" when submitting a review.
  • Implemented a public recommendation statistic displayed on event pages (e.g., "X% of reviewers recommend this event").
  • Introduced a visual summary of the most recent recommenders, displaying up to 5 user avatars.
  • Added an overlay that shows the full list of all members who recommended the event, accessible by clicking the "and X others" link.

📍 Repeat Summary & Interactive Repeat Timeline

Better clarity for repeating events. Previously, it wasn't always clear to users exactly how an event repeated or when the next specific occurrence would take place.

No more guessing the frequency. Every repeating event now features a human-readable summary generated dynamically based on its settings. Whether it’s "Every 2 weeks on Mon, Wed" or "The first Monday of every month," users will see the schedule clearly at the top of the event.

I've introduced a dedicated Repeat Summary section and an interactive Repeat Timeline to give users complete clarity on how recurring events are scheduled.

Located directly on the event page, this new section provides an immediate, easy-to-read summary of the event's repetition pattern.
  • Natural Language Logic: The system translates complex settings into plain English (e.g., "Every 2 weeks on Mon, Wed").
  • Clear Boundaries: If the event has a set end date, it's explicitly stated (e.g., "...until Dec 31, 2026").

🗓️ Event Repeating Timeline (Overlay)

By clicking the new "View All Dates" button, users can now open a high-precision timeline overlay. This is designed to answer the user's question: "When exactly is the next one?"
  • Past vs. Future Tracking: Every occurrence is calculated and displayed with its specific date and time.
  • Smart Status Badges: * Completed: Clearly marks past iterations.
    • Next Up: A primary badge highlighting the very next occurrence the user should care about.
    • Scheduled: Lists upcoming future dates.
  • Responsive Details: The timeline provides both a compact view for mobile and a detailed long-form date view for desktop users.
