These hoists are handy even if you are not lifting engines. If you are on a cement floor you can pick up heavy stuff and load it into the back of your truck or trailer. If you are in gravel, just lift the heavy stuff and back the truck in under it. I have an old Victoria Horizontal mill that I am going to dismantle shortly for scrap and the engine hoist should make the work rather easy. Actually, I have two hoists here, otherwise I would be looking at this one.
