Thinking about putting electric pull fan/s on my std spec 350 auto to help the air conditioning cool things down as it’s struggling despite a recent ac service and new compressor. I’ve got a 61amp alternator which btw has the ammeter slightly in the -ve when driving with the headlights on. Any recommendations? Good idea in general? Will my alternator cope? Cfm recommendations? Wiring setup? TIA

Is this an OEM a/c system? If so make sure that there are not leaks/obstructions in the hoses behind the dash. Many who have the OEM system have replaced the blower with a more powerful C4 unit. As others have stated the 61 amp alt will struggle, the optional one was a 100 amp I believe - sorry can't remember off hand.
