Ecm removal

Can anyone let me know if I will have any problems removing (4 large plugs + a couple of bolts) my ecm unit. Would like to take it out for polish or paint, but not cause myself any other problems...Thanks

Disconnect the battery first.

Thanks, may have forgotten that! Soo I should be able to just take it out and then replace without any problems. ..

My cars an 88 i just disconnect battery then am free to disconnect the connectors no problem. Done it many times no problem.
