E-ray spotted at Nurburgring

If Bowling Green can make about 180 Corvettes per day, and if that number is split between the Stingray, Z06 and soon the ERay- will any cars ever make their way to Canada?! I’m on a list for an ERay but am now becoming highly doubtful I’ll get the chance before I have to use a walker!

It doesn't matter what method you use to get to the car! ;)

Man I just hope that thing does not command crazy prices. We all know it will slot in financially somewhere between the Stingray and the Z06, but based on the power and extra cost of the electrics, worried it will not be at the halfway point for price but just slightly lower than a Z06.

For me personally, since my car will only be a garage beauty and boulevard cruiser, I don’t need the extra HP and performance. However I do prefer the wider body and the redesigned boomerang turned wishbone side intake. So would be buying the car mostly for the looks, to try and land a Z06 copy without the flat plane.

Sadly my deposits sit on the Stingray list, so even if I end up with a Stingray at some point, I am tempted to move deposits over to the eRay list and sadly that is mixed in with the Z06 people too, which means I will join harshadt in using a walker by the time my number gets called for one. <sigh>

Do we know for certain it will be less than a Z06? If GM is testing it against an NSX, and the power seems to be comparable to a Z06 at 600-650hp- could it actually be priced higher than a Z06? I guess the question is what costs more- the hand built Z06 engine or the re-engineering and electrical components needed for the ERay? Even if it’s priced at $150,000 they could easily say it costs $50,000 less than the NSX, and has equal or better performance

If Gm were smart, they would look at the demographics of ERay interest and start producing eRay powered wheelchairs... Nothing like a 0 to 60 in 2.7 wheelchair....lol

I'm fortunate to be #1 at my dealer for an E-Ray allocation. If its like the outgoing NSX then I will be very keen as that car is so underrated but it was also stupid expensive.

Let's see what the E-Ray represents once more details come out with its rumored LT2 combined with two electric motors.
