Had one on the Challenger 9 years. When you empty the catch can, the contents are sludgy and smell of fuel. If anything it gives you a peace of mind that the s**t in there is not circulating through your engine...

This should definitely benefit DI engines. Just make sure it's easy to empty and service as some are a pain to work with.
