On sunday I had the priviledge of driving up with two great instructors (Steve and Jay) to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park(formerly Mosport). The event was set up by a BMW club, but the whole thing was organized very well. The instructors were great! I'm a novice at best, so I had in class training in the morning followed by in car braking, slalom and skid pad exercises. Just before lunch we headed out on the DDT (training track). What a blast! As we had lunch, some go-karts (shifter karts) provided entertainment as we ate. The afternoon was then seat time on the track. Even with the rain it was an amazing experience. I'll be doing this event again, and I'm being peer pressured in doing Watkins Glen in a couple weeks. I'm hooked!:D:D:D

Rock on! I am jealous of you guys that have road courses near by. Sounds like it was a lot of fun!!!!!

I couldn't agree more. As some of you know I did track training last year and then went on a few lappin days. Best experience ever and highly recommended for those that would like to truly experience what their is capable of and was DESIGNED to do!!!!

I sold my ride shortly after the summer last year mostly because the track in Calgary was closed down and the new track in edmonton isn't slated to be finished until fall 2013. Ready assured, I plan to be fully geared up again when I can take my car back to a true road course.

Until then I'm going to stratotech raceway in fort sask with my G37 coupe to have my fun but the course is just too darn short to have fun in a really high powered car.

Hey Justin, we saw you out there when we were there for the Tim Horton's cruise.
Looked like you were doing pretty good.
Do you still have the stock exhaust on your Vette?:canada:

No way! That's cool that you guys were around. I feel like I improved but have a long way to go. There was so much to learn. The skidpad alone is a unique experience in itself.
No, my stock Ti's are in my basement. I have a Magnaflow axle back system on my Z. I spent so much time listening to sound clips from videos to try and see what I liked. I really like the B&B Bullets and PRT's as well as the Corsa Extremes and Borla Stingers, but this came along and I drive my Z as a daily driver so I wanted something that didn't have a lot of drone. That being said, it's a bit too quiet sometimes. It wakes up a bit when i punch it but not like the others that I mentioned. You'll have to come out to the next event. It's a blast!:canada:
