Decided to add a few carbon pieces like some of the other guys. Got tired of having a car that looks just like every other crystal red C7. Needed some subtle changes.

Beautiful.
Guess you are not looking at the C8 right away.
Where did all that snow go to?

Subtle 😂
There a whole lot of Big Bang going on there ... as you are a YYC ride, if for when there is ever may be a chance, I look forward to meeting you and actually seeing the hinge action on those doors and there would be no problem with you parking beside me with those ... that’s for sure ... real nice 😁👍🏻

Thanks guys. I'm happy with the wing as it really does improve stability. Carbon was brutally expensive too. Doors are cool as a novelty but I don't recommend anyone do it. They're surprisingly heavy to open from the inside and were fairly pricey not to mention the install was a major undertaking. To add hinges you must first remove the front bumper, then the headlight housings and finally both fenders just to access the hinge supports. Also need to cut away some of the upper fender or they will rub. Mine were installed by Rob Davita over at Davita Auto Salon. Took him 2 weeks and three grand but they're in. The kit was two grand and was made by Vertical Doors in California. It's definitely a different look and won't be getting confused with any other Crystal Red corvettes out there!

Luv the doors, stripes and especially the rear window louvre.....rear wing little much for me. Can you advise sourse of the louver. Thx

Hey Frank,
Wings are always love it or leave it and are always a matter of personal choice. I almost didn't do it as I agonized over drilling into the rear hatch. But once installed, I took it out at high speed (speed limit for all the police officers watching this thread), and I definitely noticed a huge difference in stability and in particular the cornering ability. And for the louver, it was made by a company called M.R.T. in the States. Wasn't much, around a grand I think.

Nope! She has her own car. A 2013 Plum Crazy SRT Dodge Challenger and she has done LOTS of work both in the engine bay as well as decorating the exterior. Airbrushing on the engine and LOTS and LOTs of lights both in and out. It's a true girls car!
Here's a few shots of the car.

JEEZ!
You guys must have a competition going on there.
Nice to have a woman who understands cars and can kick a$$ as well as anyone else.

No competition, she did much more to her engine than I did. She has over 500 horses pulling her. When we got the Challenger, I kept moving the seats and mirrors when I drove it, and she would have to move everything back when she drove. So in September of 2013, she'd had enough. Told me to go buy a car of my own, didn't matter what it was as long as I didn't drive "hers" anymore. So after some serious research, I saw a picture of what I thought was a photoshopped picture of a Ferrari/Viper. It was labelled Corvette Stingray, and the rest is history. I think one of the best things about having a woman with her own performance car is that if I want to do something with the vette, I can. As long as I give her the same latitude when she wants to do something with hers. But hers is faster.....until we hit the corners!

I like the wing personally. Actually you have a “one of” Corvette that you made just how you want it. I like that philosophy.

One thing on the wing install... how is it secured below the rear facia? Did it come with any under the plastic hidden stuff to bolt onto the car?

Yes it did. Two large pieces too. They are also carbon fibre and closely match the color of the carpeting in the car. Also had to change the rear struts because of the extra weight, but that only took about 5 minutes.

So an excellent good quality functional bolt on. Yes, the carbon fibre is pricey but the look and weight savings are very worth it imho.

Where did you get the wing..If I may ask?. I see them on a few vendor sites but have never looked closer to determine quality or mounting.

The wing is sold by APR Performance. Their wings are car and model specific. Lots of good info on aerodynamics and lift/drag on the tech page of their website. They also sell all the other parts I added and also give reasons for adding them.

YAY!!!STAMPS WON!!!

Agreed … le YYC Coupe Grey
helps sweeten November 2018
following the bitterness of not going for 2026 in YYC for me

Had an after thought. If you do get the louvre, make certain you clean the glass with alcohol, then use adhesive promoter before you attach the sticky 2-sided tape. The whole thing sits on 4 pieces of 2-sided tape so the better your adhesion, the longer it will stay on. I would have to replace the glass before I would be able to get mine off.
