Installed another springšŸ˜·project, I know of a few others who installed these products , maybe not needed on a street and non-tracked car , but not going to hurt and a little insurance against heat . Also installed cags skip shiftšŸ‘...no more annoying 1-4 shift. No harm that I can see in partially covering ā€œcatsā€ from heat they produce , an annoying smell from break-in with shields but disbursed in short time, shielded oil lines also

Hey there C2 2 C7..... after the heat shield install, did you notice any temperature difference during summer months inside the cabin?

Hello there Paul , sorry there was no difference in cabin temperatures that would be noticeable as these heat shields are relatively small. To reduce heat in cabin and noise ( noise from those tires), I am planning on installing in my car ( šŸ˜· winter project? or spring project) a noise and heat installation kit from ā€œexoticvette.comā€.....a little pricey $$ and a good 2 day project , but will be well worth it in my opinion . There are other options out there that do not cost as much or involve as much work , but that is up to each individual person too.

Thanks for the response... I thought so, just covering the cats the cabin prob did not change at all. My cabin gets ptretty warm in the summer and I run with the a/c on but I would like to keep mechanical heat out of the cabin. I noticed that DEI sells a trans tunnel heat kit but have not really looked into it it yet. Ill also ckeck out the noise and heat kit from exoticvette that you mentioned... I have a lift in my garage but the vette has never been on it since I bought it 3 yrs ago. Maybe its time. the Blue of your car with the white striping looks very sharp!!

No problem PaulC&.., they have a lot of info on their site for installation and good reviews, youā€™ve had a lift for 3 years?...and havenā€™t had car on it ?....Wow!!...wish I had a liftšŸ¤‘ , you gotta put it up and get under there , just to see how everything is put together and the engineering that was put into the suspension and design šŸ‘šŸ‘. Thanks for compliment on car...since then , I had to detail Heritage white stripe , wheels , carbon fiber with 1/8ā€ red pinstripes. Lots of noise and heat products out there ...you get what( results) you pay foršŸ˜.

Well, I have had a few cars on there... Just not my Vette. It stays on the ground. I have a nice size 3 car garage and Including the lift I can store 4 cars. Sadly the Jaguar and Mustang I sold to make room for Vette and Mercedes suv. The Tbird I still have and a BMW. On summer weekends my friends use the lift to do oil changes and basic maintanace on their rides....lol

I agree, I should have hung on to the Fastback but can only have 4 cars at a time. I think the color on the Vette is called Long Beach Red, I quite like it. Im thinking of going yellow on the rotors, not to sure yet. Im very happy with the fit and look of the Morimoto tail lights. My wife was not to keen on the look of them when I placed my order but changed her mind when seeing them installed. Yes my friends have pretty sweet rides but "cry" when they have to go in for servicing or repairs, and from a performance perspective they cant touch the Vette. :misfire: Looks like Genelle will be having decent weather next Wed/Thu/Fri hopefully you can get a bit more driving time in.............Happy Thankgiving!

Yes , Iā€™ve heard that ā€˜thingsā€™ can get very $$$$$ for those Lamboā€™s ($10,000 for clutch)šŸ¤« , yes we may get a couple nice days down low , but are expecting 15cm of ā€˜snowā€™ on passes. We got caught on a freak storm last year on Paulson Summit (in September) , but made it home safely. We keep talking about taking Corvette to Vancouver to visit family, if so weā€™ll give you a heads up and maybe grab coffee or what have you?. A Happy Thanksgiving to You and YoursšŸ”.
