The latest of many reports of Z06s overheating in track use (A8 at Watkins Glen) on Corvette Forum USA mentions a dealer offering to exchange the offending car for a 2016 Z06 - apparently presuming that GM Bowling Green will have solved the problem by the time 2016s are available.

Wow! This could set a precedent and cause a landslide. There is more than one person who has had issues in this regard. Some more severe than others.
Bearing in mind that what I am reporting is third hand, having read the Corvette Forum USA Z06 thread report from a driver who asked the owner of the overheating Z06 why he was aborting the track sessions in which they were running close together ... the dealer's motivation was indicated to be pre-empting the US lemon law which (so says the thread) requires replacement of a car if it is returned to the dealership more than three times for the same reason. As a Z06 owner I find the Corvette forum USA C7 Z06 threads highly informative and interesting.

Yes, there is a lot of good technical data etc. I popped in and saw the post after commenting here. There are very real issues when the car is tracked hard. Of that there is no doubt. Far too many threads for it all to be B.S. Much of it from credible guys as well. The power steering issue is a bad one. There is a very real likelihood that someone will die on a track from this. All that is required is time and circumstances to line up. There is NO two ways about it, the Z06 IS a great car. However when pushed there is a few glitches to be worked out still.

Interesting that the dealer or GM would take back the car as opposed to issue a recall spec'ing a larger radiator.

What is this USA Corvette Forum you speak of? :D

If you google "Corvette Forum USA", then "Forums", then "C7 Z06" you will see dozens of posts daily. The immediate reference is to the thread about an A8 at Watkins Glen.
