Cuba and 50's cars.

Just got back from Cuba. Beautiful 50's Chevy's down there. I didn't se any Vettes but did see some eye candy ... I mean the cars. It looked like some parts from Happy Days tv show. The cars appeared to be very well taken care of.

I was quite amazed by the cars when I was down there. As a lot of them are used as taxi cabs, I would like to know how many miles they would have from being daily driven for 50+ years.

We were in Cuba a number of years ago. I was amazed at the ingenuity of the owners in keeping their vintage cars running. Don't forget that parts have been embargoed for years. Mostly four door cars but we did see some very well kept cars.

Saw some late model cars as well, a number of Mustangs but I have no idea who owned them or just how they got there.

The Cuban people may not have a lot of the luxuries that we have here in north america, but they sure take pride in their older vehicles and have them shined up as good as we do here.
