Is anyone going to cruise weekend this year? We have spots reserved at our usual place (Thanks SilverVette!) so I we won't have to show up at 6am! Rock on!

I'm looking forward to another fantastic year of staring at over 900 classic cars!

I talked to Debbie @ the Partnership yesterday, and we can certainly have that spot. BUT Rawlco is being firm about the 20 year old rule this year. No vehicles will be admitted that are less than 20 years old. AND, if we have those newer cars in our "assigned spot", we will lose that permanent status next year. They don't seem to care that some newer vehicles are of special interest.

So, I think that we will do the usual - arrive at 6 a.m. to save that spot (yuck).

Since I work downtown, I have to be a good girl and play by the rules.

20 years?....mmmm.....maybe I'll just put my car as a 1992 on the sign...:D I am really interested to see how "firm" they are going to be this year. I thought cars in "clubs" were exempt from the 20 year rule.

Honestly, my car has been in for the past 3 years. It can sit out one year or sit across the street if people really want it there. I was thinking of putting the Chevelle in this year too.

6am? Well at least I should be able to leave a strip of rubber then.

Debbie said it was Rawlco who made this rule, and since they are the sponsor, the Partnership has to abide by it.

My thoughts are that it won't be any different than any other year. And, if we don't have a "designated" spot, we can just ignore their rules (I didn't just say that). As long as we're in before the barracade people get there.

Well i'll be there, but probably not my car. I really will try to get it out this week but life has been busy. My car is still shedded and covered! Either way I'll be there to look around.

well so much for that idea, don't think i'll drive the 2hrs then

I think the car show is still worth the drive and anyone coming from out of town, I urge you to come out to 8th street on Saturday night. Saturday night is almost the best part as it's more like a rolling car show where everyone is allowed. It feels like a car show 16 blocks long....even though only about 10% of the cars are worth looking at, it's still awesome!

well, i've been bumped from a shift with sat/sun off back to a different shift. it means being on call so i guess it will be last minute now. if yuo were out last night riley, you may have seen my son. he was in toon last night. an '01 z06 with a nasty rumble to it.

Was he at Moxie's? I saw a yellow Z there. It looked really nice. I didn't run across him on 8th and I don't think he would be looking for me as I was out in the Chevelle as I just got it out of hibernation for the show next week.

it's a yellow z06 and fairly loud, so....he starts at kelsey in a week or so and says he taking his car for the 1st little while. industrial mechanic aka millwright

Let him know to stop by Golder Associates across from the DQ on 8th street. We meet there every Thursday that it's nice! We meet at 7 but I don't think many people show up until 7:30-8:00. I would like to have a look at the Z!
