Greetings. Picked up an 73 LS4 late last fall, does anyone know of any credible mechanics/restoration shops in Ontario that actually know their way around older vettes? Preferably east of the 416. TIA.

Since I bought my 1979 in 2019 I have been taking it to Getty Automotive Services Ltd., 5340 Canotek Rd, Gloucester, ON K1J 9C7 (613) 747-0932, [email protected]
I have been going mostly for oil changes but he also has done power steering work and AC work on my car. Got him to adjust the height of my rear suspension as well. He is a Vette guy and owns and races C5s. I have seen a few older Vettes in the shop and I think someone here recommended him in the first place.
He can be a little hard to get on the phone I find it is easier to get him by e-mail, never tried texting that might work too. What I like is he doesn't try to talk you into work you don't need.

Awesome, thanks for the info.
I just noticed you mentioned restoration Getty is mainly mechanical repairs, maintenance and hi perf modifications. They don't do bodywork and paint. I am still looking for someone in the area that can paint my Vette I asked here but didn't get any responses.
I did find this shop Vintage Corvette Restoration | Corvette Rehab | Ontario unfortunately it is west of the 416 but it is the only Corvette specialist in the area that I can find that does restorations. On his website he has done C1, C2 and C3.
I have no experience with the shop but if you are looking for restoration on a C3 that is what he does.

I need to have an L88 hood painted and I am looking at contacting Randy's Toy Box in Gloucester. He doesn't have a web site but he is on Facebook and has painted a C2 Corvette.
I have no experience with the shop but if you are looking for restoration on a C3 that is what he does.
