Do I really need the Z51 package ? I really want the spoiler, exhaust and front splitter but I will not track the car ! if i do not buy the package i will save some money for a spoiler, front splitter ground effect and exhaust but i want to make a good choice ( value) long term
 
If you are not going to track the car I would say how does the Z51 package make your car look? Do you like the look of the spoiler? Do you want the exhaust? Also it's what make you sleep at night. If you would rather have the Z51 so you don't have a "base" then get it.

I don't think the Z51 package is going to do much for value (probably more in the short term <5 years) Long term I doubt it. When I sold my C4 with an LT4 (one year only engine) no one really cared and I had it listed for quite a while (still think I sold too low). I think the trims to be more concerned about are Z06 and ZR1 (which are not out yet)

I would say get it if you want it. The value (which will be less than what you paid) will be there for a few years for trade in value, but long term I'm not so sure. If anything it may make it easier to sell all things being equal.

thanks for the answer, probably I should buy the exhaust for better sound and probably its cheaper at $1375 than any aftermarket they will make and I will have the valve with it closed for my wife and open for me

I have gone back and forth with the same question, at the end of the day I think I will just go NPP on my Convertible and save the Z51 money. I also want the A/S tyres, which you are forced to give up if you choose Z51. Simply IMO

perfect I will do the same and wait for some aftermarket spoiler and splitter, and better looking wheel

Very tough decision. I know, because I went through,it when I ordered mine: the Z51 Pkg with the FE4 is $8080.00 plus, for me here in B.C. 15% tax = $9292.00. I ordered the convertible which is quite a bit more than the coupe. I spoke to a very large corvette dealer in Ontario - most C7 they sold were without the Z51 - ditto C8 orders. I drive around town, won't track; so, opted out. I did order: GAN (blade silver metallic),E60 FLS, AH2 GT2 seats & 2LT. The spoiler you can add later as OEM which I might do?
 
The Z51 package was the first thing I added onto the C8. Besides the exhaust and better cooling and bigger better brakes I thought it was a must. I also added the front end lift which I think you can only have with the Z51 option. I could be wrong. Also went with the LT3 interior because that included the GT2 seats that I wanted. Seemed to all connect together. Once I open my wallet its very hard to close it. LOL.

The exhaust can be ordered as a separate item.
Z51 is not needed to order the front lift.
You can have the GT2 seats installed in the 2LT trim as an option.

Not suggesting you were 'wrong' with your order, just clarifying for anyone who is reading this thread.

How many C8"s will your dealership get this year?

Thanks for the info. I did put on magnetic ride control and think thats only available with the Z51 package. Correct? Also the LT3 package replaces the Mulan leather with Napa leather which is a better quality leather. My buddy has two Grand Sports and he said the one with the LT2 with Mulan leather is not as good as his other one with the LT3 Napa leather.

Yes, you need Z51 to get the mag ride.

The quality of the leather is subjective. Napa leather, being full-grain hide, does stretch more than Mulan and requires more maintenance. if you drive your 'Vette a lot, you may want Mulan leather as it'll hold its shape longer.

Thanks again. I confess I have never ordered a new car in my life and have been out of Vettes for many years. A lot has changed so I appreciate all the knowledge here and like to learn as much as I can. I have bought new cars before but never to this extent. Usually it was a car that was available I have bought.

EJ, Does your dealership have more deposits for 2020 C8's than your expected allocations?

How are you handling the 2020 orders that do not receive an allocation?

Do you have a separate deposit list for 2021 MY? If so do the 2020 deposits than did not receive allocation go to the front of the 2021 MY line.

My apologies for all the questions.

We currently have 34 deposits. We cannot say whether or not this is more than the number of 2020 Corvettes we will receive. If we do not get enough 2020, they will be informed and will have the option to get to the front of the line for the 2021 Corvettes.

We do not have a separate list for 2021 as we have not yet had a customer who specified they wanted a 2021.

for the 13 allocation you received did you have some constraint for the colour ?

Have you entered all the orders? How many are selecting Z51?

I agree with this comment as I have a C7 2LT - mulan leather - very durable - does not need the maintenance of Napa and looks and feels great.
