Some C7 owners with the competition seats complain of varying degrees of discomfort including pain in the upper left leg during long drives. I picked up my Stingray with competition seats last August 17th but did not drive it for more than an hour until early September. It did not take long to become aware that my left upper leg was very uncomfortable and after 3 hours it was indeed painful. It felt like a hard pressure point from the left bolster - the right side was ok. Didn't give it more thought until this spring when the pain became evident again. I did not find any reports of discomfort on our CCF but on the USA forum it was a major topic of discussion with several potential fixes. I was at a point of frustration with the discomfort and tried one of the solutions on the USA forum - it worked. Problem solved no more pressure and the seat is comfortable. If any of you have experienced the competition seat left leg pain syndrom this worked for me: C7 seat thigh pain fix - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion. It is quite easy to do and does not affect any other aspect of the seat operation.

Honestly no joke that I found rather instantaneously humorous ... while at the Doctor.
I was getting leg discomfort in my C7 and when Mr.PhD asked what am I doing when it is at its worse ... long story-short,
I now won't drive with my wallet in my back pocket. I don't know ... but it worked (non-comp seats in my C7's)
Still no joke but I found very funny.

chiropractor told me 30 years ago to throw away my wallet or drive naked

she was a great nudist, I mean chiropractor

That’s the first thing my chiro asked me 14 years ago. “Do you drive with your wallet in your back pocket?” My reply was “No,it goes in the glove box.” As he said, sitting on em can cause a lot of sciatic pain and misalignment.

You C7 guys have that nice little cubby behind the screen. Perfect spot.

My Chiro didn’t mention anything about nude driving Jeff. :p

Ah - yes the fat wallet tilts the spine. Got the same advice from a chiropractor 40 years ago!

Some additional info regarding the competition seats; following the Spring Mountain 2 day school in April, I rented a Stingray vert, A8, with GT seats for a day. Absolutely no issue with the left leg pain. And now with the twisted rod remedy - no more pain with my competition seat. I will do the passenger side next.

You gonna have to charge 5 bucks per seat at the meet and greets.

you then will be better than a torque wrench, not kidding

That was the free advice he gave you during your initial consultation I bet ! Then he charges you a pocket draining amount the first time you see “The rack” as I call his table.

holy crap ... with all the talk about $5 here and there and chiropractor bills, I might be able to eventually put my wallet in my back pocket again.

Just have a brinks truck follow you around Spence. You won’t need after 2 carbon fibre stops. Pretty much able release it then an slide $8 you have left over in your front pocket....
