From the front the C7 looks more stream line. From the side, the C8 looks more stream line and a bit taller. Both cars have pros and cons from the rear. IMO, both look fantastic.

Wow thanks for posting. Now that I see the two side by side, I sure am liking the C7 more again. I think it looks much more aggressive than the C8. JMHO

I have to agree Zig. I think they lost something in the look with the shorter distance from windshield to front bumper. From there back looks great though IMO... Still in love with my C7...

I like the shorter front overhang on the C7. It wouldn't be a deal breaker ... just saying. I think the C7 was ahead of its time.

Thanks for the comparison view which is absolutely appropriate during "Black History Month".
The C7 is North American in my opinion and the C8 has a definite Exotic feel ... I like them individually for their unique attributes.
It will take some time for me to trade a C7 ... so far I am not impressed by the atmosphere of C8 entitlement by some Alberta Dealerships.
I receive a better welcoming at Lamborghini and Maserati here in Calgary - so this really, really, really needs to change.

There's no doubt It's good fortune to be able to take delivery of one of the first C8's ... I am all eyes and ears for when they retail and hit the streets.

^ "the atmosphere of C8 entitlement by some Alberta dealerships" :Confused5:
After the C7ZR1, then C8 and now as the C8Z06 begins ... no explanation required when inquiring at some Dealerships.
While keeping my list of recommendable Dealerships and those to only kick-tires at up-to-date,
I have discovered things like non-negotiated deposits of up to $10k to merely stand in line, as much as MSRP + 20%, responses to inquiries that begin with a bolstered laugh,
a Manager admitting that he needs deposits so that he can choose who will be offered to buy one and another wanting rights to spec the car and color and also display the
car for a few months before letting it leave the lot ... and sadly much more. I have had dealers change their mind with me (and with others) after the fact ... I'm not a baseball game with it.
I know there's people out there who will eventually throw money above msrp at a dealer ... no big deal.

Good news is that I do have a list of Dealerships that I will be most happy to buy at for MSRP - it's much shorter and will save a lot of time when the day comes for me.
Always visiting a dealership when time allows in my travels.

...dealers have a right to strike when the iron's hot! :Mad5:
Not talking about the C8 Buyer at all ...
I concur on the outright disrespect toward a customer by speculative after-market-style pricing
of something by implying a commodity that will only depreciate if/when one steps back through their doors with it.
They are one-off selling and not thinking about the return-buyer nor referral.
They wish buyers would agree to msrp on every car ... then say more when one comes along.
There are Dealerships who have the integrity to not do this ... and I will honour their respect.

(again, I am not at all targeting buyers who are willing to pay more ...)

If this will actually happen, as I have not received responses,
it may means my letters to GM have not gone unnoticed ...
(re: Naming of Dealerships who are proudly advertising and selling factory-fresh C7ZR1 at MSRP+ in Alberta)

I respect every Dealership in Alberta who held on to their integrity for not doing this.

I'm not sad to have recently purchased a C7 because it looks so beautiful, I truly believe the lines are perfect. Sitting still the C7 by it's sleekness looks faster.
I don't dislike the C8 I'm just not accustomed to the profile yet. The C8's profile looks like a F-22 jet. I think something is a little off but I can't put my finger on it, the front nose perhaps, maybe it needs to be more pointy? Or is it the back end that looks a bit too long? There is a but, being able to see the engine through the back glass is just pure awesomeness and they made the engine look phenomenal and way more stylish than the lambo's and ferraris.

For me there is no comparison... C8 all the way and not looking back. But I'm not a fan of past Corvettes.
Please note, the original guy who posted those pics to fb says he's C7 was lowered, that's why the C7 is lower than the C8 in those pics.
