Recently purchased a '17 Z51 with M7. The clutch is quite stiff to depress and it catches close to the top on the release stroke. The spring effect on the release stroke is strong and makes for uncertain engagement in 1st. All other shifts are smooth. Of course it is new, less than 1000 kms, and will probably wear in a bit. I have driven many manual cars over 50+ years, including old milkman trucks and Ford, Dodge vans with manual and none have had a heavy clutch like this one. However I am not sure if the clutch weight is normal for a C7.
