I'm researching which clear bra to possibly use on my new C7, when she arrives shortly.

I came across this very interesting test that a professional installer did with all the products they had used or could get access to.

So by the looks of it, the maximum protection comes from only a few of the products on the market:
- CCL Nano Fusion
- Hexis CarPro300
- XPEL Ultimate

Just thought I'd share this, for those who would find it interesting and helpful.

Now I'm hunting down good as local as possible installers that offer one of these 3. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have had 3m on my 08 and have driven 50,000 miles and it has done exactly what I wanted ,fine product in my opinion .

BUT ,i'm going to remove it and replace it because for some reason it has darkened and makes the paint look un matched .

Yes I've heard the 3M product fades after time.

My wife is a real nut when it comes to the paint, so want the best protection from stone chips, etc. So want to go with a product that really offers good stone chip protection.

I also do not like the line on the hood of a partial bra so want full hood wrapped. I know it's not going to be cheap but willing to protect my C7 since I plan on having her for quite a while.

You can't avoid all the flying debris but keeping your distance behind the car ahead of you will make a big difference in the amount of stone damage you get. Our car already had some small stone chips on the front so I'm going to wait until the nose needs a re-paint and then go with a coating.

Hi SmackYYZ ....

I Have 3M Clear On My 2008 Z06 ....

I Put It On When Bought My Toy In The States And Drove It Home ...

The 3M Clear Is A Grrreat Product And Worth Having ...

It Does Save The Front From Stone Chips And Hasn't Faded Since I Had It Installed ....

Just Keep It Waxed To Keep It Looking Good ...

I have another vette with 3M as well. While there are other products out there that claim to be more advanced, I'm not sure I could be any happier than what the 3M provided me on 2 vehicles and counting. The 3M does everything I need it to, and doesn't fade the paint. Not sure what more anyone would want.
