cleaning and making your c4 engine look new again!

These are my old early C4 vette engines, What is the best product out there to make the hoses and plastics look new again? Even better would be a spray that I could spray on like armor all and hose off or wipe off. Would that tire cleaner work or is it flammable? Help me shine these engines up and by the way I have new valve covers for them the TPI valve covers are shot.

A friend of mine used to put Armorall on the hoses of his car and they did shine nicely. Simple Green helps get the grease and oil build up off of other parts.

I have no experience with this; but I have been told the "GUNK" product line they sell in NAPA works very well. I have been meaning to pick some up and give it a try.

Agree Brian, Gunk is good stuff. I have used it since my first car in the 60's. I think Canadian Tire sells it as well.

does "Gunk" cleaner adversely affect Aluminum Valve covers? never used it before

VT 65 the only good thing I had on my Chevrolet powered Austin Healey was the aluminium Corvette valve covers. Cleaned them right. However you are right to be concerned and I think I would try it on a small out of the way spot first.
