RF-8G Crusader

This photo Crusader of the Eyes of the Fleet of VFP-63 was photographed at its home base, NAS Miramar, in December 1975. Note the stylized "??" (aka PP) as well as the Wizard of Id on the vertical tail.

VFP-63 took on the fleet replacement role for F-8 aircrew and maintenance personnel after VF-124 transitioned into the F-14. The squadron was disestablished on 30 June 1982.
