CCF/Shag Cruisers Canmore BBQ Drive.

Details and route choice to come this Saturday after Shag show/shine.

Out to Canmore for a potluck BBQ. The BBQ unit is provided by the host,Grant Butler.

A loop around Banff townsite and then a loop around the Lake Minnewanka Road to a choice photo location. Seasonal park pass or day pass will be required for this one.

It will be on a Sunday as Wayne as work commitments Saturday.

Possible dates for this will be Sept 7th or the 14th. If anyone is considering this at all,please respond and post what date would be better for you and your spouses,if they choose to come along. The fall colours will be starting to show and should make for a good picture day.

As well there’s been an abundance of both bear and moose activity near the Highwood pass as well as the resident female grizzly often seen between the golf course entrance/Evan Thomas and Wedge Pond day use areas. See @SN-III s pics of Mama bear and cubs along 40. This is the time of year for many sightings.

Again,the invite is open to all who care to venture down for the day. Seeing as Canmore and Kananaskis Country are so close,we more than likely will make our way down Hwy 40 again. How far ? That can be discussed at the travel centre perhaps.

Options for eats are open for discussion as well. Depending on interest. We have Grant offering up something. The bar menu at the casino,The little known but excellent food served at the Heart Mountain Cafe at the G&B fuels station near Exshaw in the 1A. Or the many places in Canmore.

I should have a better idea tomorrow after some discussion with the 2 W,s.
