I hear guys talking about their cats being shot. We have a '97 Olds LSS that still passes emissions. We have an old '87 S10 truck that was 20 years old and still passed emissions the last time it had to be checked. It's still going strong. Are these newer converters really going south or are people just getting sucked in by those who would like to sell lots of new parts.

The cats are going bad , due to all the sulphfer in today fuels . This also kills the O2 sensors as well .
