I replaced my stock Z51 Brembo brake pads several months ago with Carbotech's 1521 brake pads (Thanks to Manny). We see and hear all sorts of stories about how great things are and sometimes when we try them ... well ... not so great.

BUT these pads are awesome!!! I've driven about 2000km on them and very little brake dust compared to the stock pads. I just cleaned my wheels for the first time since Installing the new pads. So little brake dust and it wipes off easier. The Brembo pad dust was sticky and after about 200 km I had to clean the wheels. I have black wheels and the Brembo dust made the wheels look rusty.

If anyone is thinking of changing their brake pads or just doing a small mod I would definitely recommend these.

Anyone want to buy a set of Brembo brake pads, only 1500 km on them $50 and you pick up or pay shipping?

I see they make them for C6GS also. I just hate the dust on my grandsport rims.......? Also just curious what retailer supplies (I'm in the west), are they a straight swap onto the existing brake system ? I see they come with 8 different compounds. THe 1521's look to be a good overall STREET performance compound. Any others to consider?

The 1521 seem to be the best all around pad but they do make others for track etc. I purchased mine from another forum vendor .... not sure if I can post the info. here ... but I am trying to help you. Adam @ Amp'dAutosport.com is the website. All the info is there.

Hey all, resurrecting an old post... I'm leaning towards swapping the stock pads for the Carbotech 1521's. More current comments on their performance and somewhere to buy them in Canerda, would be appreciated.

Thanks all.
Not sure where to buy them in Canada. I've had them on my C7 for over 24,000 km and no issues, less dust. Quite happy with the product.

I looked in Canada in 2017 and couldn't find them.

I ordered from Adam at 216-780-8825 in the US.

Use discount code Z28

These really work, hardly any dust and made in the USA.

So no inconsistent quality with Chinese made crap.

More expensive, about $500 US.

A friend just ordered some 2 months ago and it took awhile for them to get to Vancouver because of the kung flu.

part #'s....CTM1405-1521 & CTM1718-1521

Thanks dyoung! Appreciate the help! Take care.

I have had these on my car for over 60000km now and even a few track runs. Got a bit mushy during my last track run but they are still great. May just take a look at how much life I got left on them. I had actually posted a 'how to' install video way back then as well.

I am extremely pleased with Carbotech brake pads...very very little dust and stop just as good or better (I think) than stock GM pads . Simplest brake pad install EVER!!...told another C7 G/S owner about these pads and forwarded a blog from netwelding of pad (16 pages?) review, he was sold on them after that and we ordered them together from WindingRoadRacing.com in USA . Friend was equally impressed by the low dust and braking capabilities of these pads
