This has been a pretty brutal winter. I'm on the same page as you Elf. I've reached my breaking point. Texas, Florida, Arizona and California are all looking really good for places to live full time.

The youtube doesn't seem to work but just click on Youtube fantasy fest Key Fest and you'll understand why I have selected Key West . Only in the winter months :D

I can't ... then I will want to go!

I was just in Key West early December and wish I planned more time there! Such a cool place to visit.... and live

Well, the days are getting longer atleast.

Bill

right on Bill -- and DST on March 8th......that's a little more help and spring on the 20th .... (I hope we get spring and summer this year.)

The last of the really cold stuff should be gone by next weekend, but temps starting to break this weekend.

Sounds hopeful.

Hang in there Steve.
After looking at more of the Fantasy Fest Key West videos I think we better stay home and out of trouble.:D

Almost got her out of the garage this morning to go to breakfast .16 degrees so no water or mush plenty of salt and dust but it was a great temptation.

Key West is where I would love to live but it's not where I can afford to live .I need a winter getaway for January and February even if it's a homeless shelter .

30 days till April 1st

Just a touch of spring in the air today here Elf. Minus 4 but lots of sun and no wind.

Key West is an incredible place but your right, very expensive.

I loved looking at the remains of the Florida East Coast Railway on the way down, an engineering marvel.

If you need a warm spot have you considered Northern Quebec, must be warmer than Maine.

Stay warm it won't be long now.

The railway was a great engineering marvel .I like to watch the locals fish off them .I have an advanced divers certification but haven't been in years .KW is expensive I had my first $30 cheeseburger ,came with fries and a soda .Next morning I spotted a Dennys which had a standardized menu only to find out it was the local gay hangout .

Coldest February on record by 6 degrees and we're only 5 inches short of the record snow fall .

Hate to break it to you Stephen but it seems you'll break that record shortly. (don't kill the messenger) -- remember: 29 to go.

Key West sounds like heaven right about now. I wish too Stephen.

It hit 32F briefly at lunch time. Thursday they are talking of a high of 14F BRRRRR. Then up to around the freezing mark on the weekend. I turned the heat on in the garage to do some work out there this afternoon. Might pull the cover off the Corvette and see how it is surviving. I haven`t seen the car in two months. :( We WILL be on the road in six weeks time. ;) As Mammy Yokum would say, `When I has spoke, I has spoke.`
