I put coilovers on my 2001, I had a mechanic come over with his code reader 2 and can’t bypass the shocks to go over 80 mph. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do.

Not sure a code reader is what you need to reset this. I think the tool is called a Tech 2, you can buy them but dealerships and many garages will have this tool to change the programming on your computer in the the car.

Welcome to the forum, good luck getting your issue sorted out.

I'm assuming you had the mag ride? There are resistors you can buy to make the computer think the mag shocks are still in place. I haven't researched this as I don't have those shocks, but a google search should provide you with the answer......or I can look it up for you if you like. I like researching things.

I like the KISS principle - Keep It Simple, Stupid. Have you had an alignment done?

Give us some details on what you have done (besides simply changing the entire dynamics of the way the suspension is designed to operate), and we can go from there.

It's hard to know what your problem might be without some more details.
