Co-op. Become a member and get between 3 and 6 cents a litre (depending on their yearly profit. You also build equity every time you get gas or groceries or alcohol at a Co-op outlet. I got a nice tax free cheque last year when I turned 65 for $3,220.00 from them.So there goes the cheaper gas for us. Any other gas stations that give Triangle rewards? lol
Noticed it the other day. They added "could contain ?% of ethanol". Used to be just regular and mid grade. I can't remember the %'s but I was disappointed for sure. It's not the closest gas station, but it got the points my wife loves to use for christmas stuff etc. Don't think we have a co-op anywhere here. Costco is miles away also. Perhaps Shell or Esso has PC points or something.Murray when did it change? Filled up in Minden yesterday the pump said "no ethanol" with 91.
Those sneaky rats!
The Petrocan 94 has ethanol too. I use 91 non ethanol exclusively.PetroCanada sells 94 Octane. Do you guys know if that is any better than using 91 Octane? The manual says 93 is preferable.
It's on the pump. I think if it's not on the pump then it likely contains no ethanol. C.T. pumps used to say 0% ethanol on the premium pump.Puregas.org still lists many Canadian tire stores as having non ethanol in 91. I noticed the all the pumps at the Cambridge westbound 401 has "May contain ethanol" stickers on all the 91 and other pumps. Maybe some uniformed employee put then there? According to Canadian tire website it states about their gas:
ETHANOL BLENDS CAN
HELP THE ENVIRONMENT
There are National and Provincial regulations that define energy policy and the use of renewable fuels. Some provinces require fuel that contains ethanol. Gas+ offers two ethanol grades. Our fuels comply with all renewable fuel regulations which typically involve an Ethanol blend containing a mix of regular gasoline and fuel grade ethanol. At our locations with renewable fuel content, our 87 octane E10 fuel has up to 10% ethanol content and our 89 octane fuel (mid-grade) has up to 5% ethanol content.
No statement that 91 has it.
Does anyone know if it has changed 100% fact?
Thanks for doing that!Following is Canadian Tire's response confirming today there is NO ETHANOL in Canadian tire premium 91 grade fuel. There must be some sticker happy employees placing the wrong labels at the pump. Murray can you tell me the Canadian Tire stations with the "may contain ethanol" on the 91 pump and I will advise CT per their request. The quote you gave regarding ethanol required by law is "proposed" so maybe we have a reprieve from the dreaded ethanol in all gas for now.

F**K!! That's going to cost me about $30.00 more per 60 liters of gas for the tractor. I don't mind the cost, but ethanol just kills carbs and it's a pain to mix seafoam everytime I get gas for the tractors! I don't know what Seafoam does to the environment either!Sorry for the confusion but Canadian Tire emailed me again contradicting their earlier email re ethanol in premium 91. Here is the reply;
Good Morning,
My name is Cassandra and I have been assigned your case file regarding if ethanol is now in our premium fuel.
New government regulations intended to reduce carbon emissions from mogas across Canada are now being rolled out. This regulation includes a 10% ethanol component in regular and premium gasoline. Canadian Tire fuel suppliers are now mixing up to 10% ethanol in both regular and premium gasoline to meet those requirements.
Ontario and other provinces across Canada are now implementing this initiative and Canadian Tire will comply with those regulations.
Sincerely,
Cassandra Paxton

Shell 91/93 is all that's left with 0% corn.F**K!! That's going to cost me about $30.00 more per 60 liters of gas for the tractor.
