As I'm sure you heard the ZL1 1LE in manual stick form no less driven by a non-pro driver just pulled out a 7:16 lap at the Nurburgring. That puts it ahead of some very serious kit including the 488 Ferrari, Viper ACR, our beloved ZR1, Radical SR3s etc.
Here's hoping Chevy can best this with the new ZR1 given that we never did see that C7 Z06 laptime.
