A new Costco just opened up where the old north plant used to be. I started my apprenticeship there in 1965.

This sucks. Right before Xmas too. I work for a Japanese automaker and there has been talk about the union for years. This doesn't prove much security from them. I feel bad for all the workers, their families amd the city.:thumbdown:

buzz [ larry ] west lived in oshawa. he started at the north plant in 64 and was there till he retired. was a committee man for a few years.

Doesn't ring a bell. Then again, there were parts of the old north plant complex that I never worked in.
