Only seventeen Callaway Supernatural CR-1s were made, and that’s largely because it’s based on the already expensive Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 of the early 1990s. Where the stock LT5 DOHC V8 produced a good-for-the-time 375 horsepower, Callaway bumped that up to a claimed 490 horses without the aid of turbochargers. Additional options, like upgraded wheels, suspension, and brakes could be had a la carte. Callaway’s trademark aero bodywork was standard.

Grayson McGee went out for a photo shoot with his second cousin, who has owned this Callaway for two years.He took a bunch of great photographs of the car in the Sam Houston National Forest near Conroe, TX. The rolling shot, above, was taken outside of the Woodlands. It’s awesome that he’s provided these images for the rest of us to enjoy.
