C8 vs C7 Track Comparison

Good to see the C8 car is demonstrating an improvement in the Corvettes performance. That is the direction we would all have expected. I am really looking forward to the Z06 and up to see what competition they will be slaying on the tracks.
 
Owning a C-7, I was hoping for a C-7 win ha ha......oh well!

I am starting to like the looks of the C-8, but let's not let the wife know okay! I still haven't seen one in the flesh though and everything I've read says it's better in person than in photos.

I am surprised however that the C-8 was only a second faster on a two + mile track though! Considering not only is it advantaged having a mid engine design, but it also hosts 35-40 more horsepower. Truthfully I would have expected a greater thumping of the C-7!

I agree; but, in a race that time difference would be huge over the entire race. I saw one in person at Preston GM in Langley: awesome bloody car; it was, a 2lt Z51 coupe . I had the convertible on order; but, my wife went ballistic and I canceled. She could not really give me a valid reason not to buy it. Anyway, we shall see for 2021 - depends how much I want to piss her off?

Face it James. Wives get pissed off at us often for very little reason. Fact of life. You may as well get your car, let her get pissed, and you'll not only have a reasonable explanation for why she's pissed, you'll also have your car. She'll get over it. Sheesh.... I could have had a career as a marriage counselor. :rofl:
