While getting my first oil/filter change, the service manager at a dealership that sells and works on lots of Corvettes asked if I'd noticed any knocking or noise coming from the side scoops. He indicated it's been a problem on some C8's and there's a fix for it and his dealership has already corrected a couple with that problem. So if you notice any odd noises from the side of your C8, that could be it. Mine's OK and he suspected it was already corrected at factory since my C8 was a later build.
