The following are prices for the C8 in the US

1LT $59,995
2LT $67,295
3LT $71,945
Z51 $5,000
Front Lift $1,495

Quite a big spread between the 1LT and 2LT. Likely add $10,000 to the base in CAN dollars.

Converted: @1.3
$78k
$87.5K
$93.5k
$6,500
$1,950

So a 2lt Z51 with front lift would Msrp at $96k plus delivery, prep, dealer add ons, and GST. Call it $115k for a base Stingray.

Interesting times we live in....

Interesting they can offer a base here at 69,995.00 when the exchange rate would equate to 79,817.35. If they were available in Canada, it would more than pay US buyers to cross and buy here with their money. Even afer misc. costs they would save roughly 5,000.00. It will be interesting to hear if MSRP is going to be the norm here. I really doubt it.

MSRP not likely at most dealers for year one. $115k out the door for a base Stingray is going to make some people think twice. That’s at MSRP.

Will be fun to watch.

1LT - $59,995 (Includes $1,095 destination charge)
2LT - $67,295 (Includes $1,095 destination charge)
3LT - $71,945 (Includes $1,095 destination charge)

Z51
- $5,000 (0-60 in under 3 seconds)
Performance Exhaust ONLY - $1,195
Lift system - $1,495 (Option available only on 2LT & 3LT package)

Top speed of 194mph

Prices are in USD, thoughts?

I priced my preferred spec and it came out to $83,370 US dollars
- 3LT
- Z51 with mag ride
- competition seats, red stitching & seat belts
- trident spoke wheels & red calipers
- high wing spoiler
I don't think Canadian pricing will be at the full currency exchange rate and based on the MSRP base price of $70,000 (+/-) my guess is closer to $97,500, plus tax = still a lot of money.

Full US pricing with all options is here: https://www.chevrolet.com/content/d...rmance/zerv-reveal/02-pdfs/C8_Pricing_PDF.pdf

With the US base price being $59,995 and Chevy stating that the CAD base price would be $69,995, that is a exchange rate of about 1.1667%. I think the options would be in and around the same rate as they would try keep the pricing in line ...or so I hope. Would not like to pay 100K for a 2LT Stingray

Its exciting to see a car of this caliber priced as it is relative to other mid engines. At the same time with all the cool options and base 3lt in cdn looking at 100k with tax so a bit more than I paid for my 2015 z51 that's for sure. I'm really looking to get Z06 this time and will definitely be more open to a used one. I'm seeing to many C7 Z06s on the market at crazy low prices and many are barely driven so looking forward to the day I pick up c8 z06.

... no pricing yet for Canada as of noon MDT 15Aug2019 ... but it won't be equivalent to the exchange rate ...
... my throw at the dartboard
base prices ... CAN$ par + CAN$8k -$15k more (CAN$68k, CAN$76k, CAN$82k + Z51 & extras + taxes + etc etc etc)

... add carbon fibre? ... priceless !

I priced out a C7 with the same options on both the Canadian and US sites, and it was 17% higher in Canada. US price was $82,645 and Canadian price was $96,670. Do not use the exchange rate because that is not how pricing will work for Canada as shown with the C7. Configuring your car with US pricing, and adding 17% will be a more accurate representation for us.

At $70,000 for the LT1 and what we're getting is still a great deal. Then we're looking at another 20% in various taxes and dealer prep and delivery. That's where things start to get painful. I remember in the mid or late 70's the economy was struggling so the government eliminated the provincial tax on big ticket items. That got people spending. The 17% increase over US pricing is very reasonable IMO given that the banks will exchange at
30%.

I was a bit surprised by the large jump between the 1LT and 2LT options. It's not such a jump anymore to get the 3LT from the 2LT. And the addition of the Z51 is actually a substantial amount, unlike when the C7 came out, then add the mag ride, and the Z51 option could be a $10-$15,000 touch. No longer such a bargain, but it's still a lot of car for the money.

The Z51 option price is $5000 USD which is currently the same as the C7 and is $6000 in Canada, so I don't think any change will happen with the option price in Canada. MRC did go up $100 USD to $1895 for the C8, which means the option price will be in the $2100-$2200 range. My guess is MRC will be $2195 CDN. You're only going to see about a $200 dollar CDN increase for these two options, and that increase is only because of the price bump for MRC.
