C8 or Supra

Lol- I love the passion for the Corvette!
This is my first one and I agree. However, if I was in the market today without ever owning a Corvette, then who knows…. I still can’t believe I bought a $100,000 car without ever having driven one- or better yet, my wife let me do it!

Having owned three Mock 3 bodys in my life and putting 400,000 km on each one of them as a family car . I have great respect for Toyota and still have an antique forerunner and pick up . But under no circumstances wouId i consider the BMW styled built and Worinty based supra under any circumstances . If you want A standerd Look for a clean C7 . It’s funny because you’re more to buy a mock 4 Supra than the new BMW one why is that .

Ditto!
On the Supra: It's still a front engine car! There are way too many choices for those to really care about the Supra

You will never get anyone on here to agree to a Supra...LOL.

However, I am objective. Love the C8 but also own a 2002 Acura NSX in manual which is probably a better feeling driving car solely due to the manual transmission and being able to drive it in a different manner. The C8 is fantastic as a daily driver and track weapon...I'm definitely ordering my 23.

If you only have the ability to own one I would probably lean on the C8.

So now that the Supra is coming out with a 6sp manual transmission, would anyone consider that over the C8?
I know I'll be in the minority here...but yes absolutely. Now I wouldn't trade my C7 M7 for it...but if I had to get another sports car in future...then yes it would be a manual something. And this is coming from a 38-year ownership of 3 Vette's so far ... C3, C5 and C7. I would be sad to switch, but I would. if you really find that a manual is an integral part of the sports car enjoyment (full disclosure...our 2 family vehicles are manuals also)...it becomes the key factor in deciding what you want to drive. I did try an auto sports car once...and it just wasn't for me...never went down that particular road again. To each their own.

First and get it straight . it’s not Toyota . It is a BMW . Toyota washed there hands of it But wanted some of the revenue from it . Toyotas are built all over the world by different plants depending on the model . And as far as standard versus auto . Yeah the thrills great in the standerd. own one myself . And that rev match makes it so easy . But given traffic in today’s environment fuel economy and my ageing 64 year old lag , along with the fact The best of the best cannot beat an automatic in a quarter mile . I have to admit it just doesn’t make sense but i will always keep a standard just to mix it up . to each their own Definitely applies here .
But when your new shoe for brakes and you pull into the Toyota dealership they’re just gonna send you to BMW they’ve already been doing it

Well I just took a look at the Supra: 5 boring shades of gray or Red or Yellow. The yellow looks like noname brand mustard. Interior choices are black or red. There is one accesssory: mirror caps
Makes you appreciate the options we had and the fun selecting and arguing about why.
