OK posting a C7 gremlin in case someone ever needs this for an unexpected an instant NO START on their C7.
One presses on the brake and pushes the start button and ... "click, click, click".
Added to my experience is that the driver window does not go down for opening and closing it.
Happened on the 5th season of owning my 2016 Z51 C7
REMEDY ...
Battery Replacement.
Instant death to one battery cell as I plugged my Schumacher Maintainer in
and the digital readout had no faults other than scrolling "charging 6V 80%" .... hmmm battery is a 12V.
New Battery replacement and all is good - other than for a few scraped knuckles when removing the old battery.
Note: Dealership Parts with AC Delco may have two battery options.
a) one battery with higher CCA (cold crank amps) and less reserve power for about MSRP $285
b) one battery with less CCA and higher reserve power for much less money.
The C7 Corvette spec is for the higher CCA and I was able to get the $285 battery for about $225.
I know some may just say "I want the least price battery please" and you should be aware of the difference/compromise.
