I was going to put this up as well JC however it was already posted in the news forum by Vettebot.
I have taken to verifying the latest posts to see if it has not already been posted. It is better in the C7 section though as that is what the video is about.
I am in next Monday to have my upgrade. Will let you know the final price. The dealer quoted $350 + labour + taxes. Depending on which model & year there is more/less time spent to do the upgrade they are telling me.

I checked with my dealer in Calgary and was quoted $300 then they called and said it was $550 and $300 was just the GM part not including their labor so I gave it a pass and will get it done in the USA for $350 total. I was told by the tech that does the upgrade that you can specify what you want done. Upgrade tour, sport and track or just one of them. Price was the same regardless so you're better off getting all of the modes done. They also said the vehicle needs to sit overnight at their location to allow all the settings to "take". Other forums indicate you can take it home and let it sit overnight.

Yes, $350 is for the software upgrade (part) and then you add on the labour & taxes. So I figure it will come close to $500CDN by the time all is said and done. Your $350 US comes close to that once you factor in the exchange rate. Will let you know the final cost next Monday.

I got quoted $650 in Edmonton....I also decided no. My interpretation of the document is the customer pays for the “program” and GM pays labour. I may try again next year with the document in hand showing that. I also got quoted $250 at another dealer, but clearly they aren’t quoting the proper thing.

$650 not a lot of money when you consider what you paid for your car?:Banghead:

650 is $100 high. I paid just over $500 all in at SPC. Ive heard guys here paying as low as 0 or $550 but don't remember anyone paying more. Call around. Sounds like your dealer is bending you over.

Well that was an exercise in futility. Brought the car in for the upgrade. They couldn't get through to download the upgrade right away so back to the house in a loaner. Called me at 2PM and said the price had just gone up around $200 because the $350 was US$ and the total would not come to approx. $675
NO THANKS
Maybe will check next year in the US to see what they will charge.
RIP OFF

Yes Richard... total RIPOFF and it seems they have no clue how to flash it into your car either. The upgrade is worth to get but not for that $$$. Why not try a different dealership?

Lol....that was SPC, the guy you referred me to.....

Truly sorry about that Man. I will be sending him a message to let him know he has lost all referrals from me as he was clearly taking a piss on you. The cost of this flash is well published by GM so there is no excuse for playing little $$ games and losing a really good potential customer. Used to be good there but since it got swallowed up by an auto group, has gone downhill fast.
The service dept there was all this dealership had left for me... looks like I'll be moving on completely now.

Another dealership. That is what first came to mind. There is another one fairly close by and also I am close to the border so an hours drive to a bigger, and potentially more savvy place, could be worth it.
Will contact the other garage close by this week and if that doesn't pan out then maybe a drive south next year.

All good....no apology needed. Will explore other options next spring.

Had the mag ride flash successfully completed on August 18 for the FE4 suspension in my 2017 Stingray Z51. A remarkable difference in ride and control in Tour and Sport. The price was C$350 plus $99.99 for dealer labour; total with Ontario 13% HST tax was C$508.49. I watched it being done in the service drive-through no less. Took a total of 20 minutes with tech connecting his laptop to the OBD2 port and getting the download from Chevrolet. I was in and out in a half-hour and didn't even have time for a free dealer coffee. I can scan the invoice if that would be of any help.

When I originally approached my dealer for the flash, they know nothing about it. When I pushed, they said my car was not eligible. I had to bring them the relevant documents (thanks again to Derek) before they agreed it could be done. It was well worth the money for the improved ride and control.
