I saw a demo while at Ron Fellows on the auto and manual cars. It is not impressive as a spectator, especially on the auto cars. Never tried it on mine. I heard lots of comments on the US forum about it eating alot of rear ends.I like my car too much to put drag racing stress on it and chance breaking stuff.

.. I am in the same classification as you Zig...

I picked my car up on a thursday, and on friday night, I went out to play.
Hadn't rowed a m/t in 20yrs. I didn't press any buttons, everything was on by default, in sport mode and I ran 12.25. Nothing got hurt........well.......maybe some pride, (after the lengthy burnout) as I passed him about 1/2 track:

Scroll up and click your answer on the poll guys... thx

I was witness to the Corvette Owners School
Launch Control Demonstration as well.
Must be most impressive if only in the Drivers' Seat as I agree it's
not so much of a rush from the sidelines ...

So I am content to say ...
I have definitely used "launch control" on many occasions ... :joyful:

Oh ... I guess I should elaborate that it is the
"launch control" feature that I was born with
that fortunately overrides the one on my C7. :angelic:

The best hint came at the COS by them stating
one of the few things that we were NOT allowed to do ...
"NO, you cannot try this on our Corvettes" ...

I have never used it on either one of the 2 C7 Z06s I’ve owned. Dropping the clutch for the fun of it is something that I’m not comfy with. With the traction and gears in these cars it’s hard to imagine that something isn’t getting torn up.
Ok kind of a fun idea to see what the 0-60 mph time is but not that important to me.
sure... I’ve left some serious rubber on the road a couple times but that is done from a rolling start with a big throttle push and not a violent clutch dump.
So I voted “never”.
Just my take on this; enjoy your toys any way it makes you feel good. After all that’s why we bought these cars. For ourselves... not popular opinions.

I've tried it and you want to use it on a very FLAT and good condition road. I have a Z06, so its a bit more tricky to use due to how much the Z06 loves to break loose. The eLSD is very much active during this and you have to fight the urge not to back off or it disables the launch control and then s**t really can go out of control.
