Help C7 Heads Up Display just went DARK - C7 "gremlin"

OK posting another C7 gremlin in case someone ever needs this for an unexpected NO HUD (heads-up display) on their C7.

Happened on the 5th season of owning my 2016 Z51 C7
REMEDY ...
Park C7 for an hour or so - Restart and it should display again

Nothing like enjoying your C7 that is equipped with HUD and it goes OUT.
like ... "Crap, what is this gonna cost me"? Well found my remedy that I should share
in the event this happens to anyone else and they come to CCF to search for an answer.
Perhaps saving someone an unneeded service bill.

... this C7 gremlin is now documented here for anyone that it can help in the future
as the USA forum was full of smart a$$ remarks on this topic.

Happened to me once. After a game of golf in Arizona. Drove home parked overnight and it was back in the morning.

Yes @SN3, have had this issue a handful of times, usually when it is very hot out.

I also had the display unit cut out intermittently, which was found to be an intermittent ribbon cable connection on the LCD ass'y. The entire motorized LCD needed to be replaced under warranty however. It's been flawless ever since.

Thanks for the share with the same issue and remedy.
Although hoping the park and wait will always work as
warranty has expired for a replacement option ... ouch

Yes my event happened at 105 degrees F after the car sat in the sun for more than 4 hours. Fortunately it has not happed since.

Maybe similar to cell phone that overheats. They crap out until cooled down
