Friend of mine who is a touch over 6'2" just went to seriously look at a C7 this week. He discovered that he is about 2" too tall. He will go back and try again when they get one in with a the "sport seat" which the salesman thinks might help.

He had a C6 but didn't fit very well in it either. Presently he enjoys (and fits comfortably) a 2003 Porsche Turbo AWD.

I can't imagine him in a C3.

6'4" and with some girth (meaning fat), and I fit fine in my C6 and I fit fine in the C7 as well. Mind you, I have to have the seat as far back as it will go, the front of the seat tilted up and the rear of the seat tilted down. like it's reclining.

But I think it's the proportions that can throw the fit off. I'm kinda lucky that I'm about 55/45, meaning my legs are about 3.5' long and my head/torso cover the rest, so I'm a good fit. I can see if other tall people had say 4' long legs and a shorter head/torso, or shorter legs and taller head/torso, they might have a fit problem.

Yes... It will be a proportion problem for some folks. I guess not many pro basketball players will be driving C7s either!

I am the same height with a 2000 Vert and headroom is OK.
Depends on the leg length (to the femur) vs the upper torso (including neck and head).
Mine is 50/50 which allows the seat to go back further (I prefer it that way for driving) and more space for head room.
The problem seems to be where the legs are 35 - 40% which forces the seat to go forward and with 60 - 65% in the upper torso there is not enough room.
I will be at the factory and Museum in 2 weeks - maybe I can sit in one to see what the headroom is like.

Maybe a short guy like me was in there before him and had to raise the height up. Make sure if your buddy tries it again that he lowers it as low as it can go, if he didn;t the first time.

the competition seating will not give him any more room I'm 6'2" I fit but i would like a little more room

Yes... he has not had a chance to try a competition seat at the dealer. I guess the 2014s are accounted for now anyway. He'll have to consider a 2015 next.
