C7 engine

Rumur going around twitter this morning is that the new C7 will be an LT1 V8 6.2 litre 450hp with cylinder deactivation to cut to 3.1 litre V4 for better fuel economy.

Is that a dry sump oiling system? What is that part that bolts on the side of the oil pan?

It does appear to have direct injection.... I also wonder why they are going back to the LT series name?

Awesome if the 6.2 is a reality. With all the new bits and pieces along with direct injection producing 450 hp and 450 ft. lbs, this will be one sweet motor.
