C7 Automatic Drag Test

Thanks Keith. Dang that's impressive for a "bone stock car", and at a higher altitude than the '14 car.

You can tell that automatic is shifting so quickly. Love it.

Well the original test goes to show that the transmission is not the most important variable in times given the A6 was faster. Driver, track , elevation , tires and other variables are more important than A6 or A8.

I think what blue_bomber meant was that a lower elevation track would yield a slightly better time for the '15.

With an estimated 2 tenths difference between the A6 and the A8 I'd say they are both very impressive.

Someone who can really handle a stick shift will sound about like that going down the track. Listen to some of the old pro stock guys going down the track. It sounds like the computer has the car off the throttle and back on just for a fraction of a second during each shift. Pretty impressive I say and I am a stick shift guy. Anyone here know what rear gear ratio these cars would come with. That car was barely into fifth gear. Unless a person went to a higher numerical rear gear, the extra gears really are not useable on the strip.
