I am buying a 08 blue corvette coupe from Wilson Nibblet, i was just wandering if it was someone on this site that traded it in ? The dealer said the owner traded it in on a new C7. :driving:

Colin,

any bets as to who gets the '06 and who the '08 ??

Don't expect W-N to offer the same hospitality that you and Terry extended.
But they may offer an airport pick-up ?

Tony,
welland

The wife is getting the 08.
And your right, i dont think there are to many that would offer the hospitality that Colin and Terry did. They are a couple of real good guys.
And no airport pick up from W-N, it is going to cost me $75 for the cab ride.

That's not very friendly of them is it -- You're coming all the way here to buy a car from them and they can't even pick you up at the airport which is no more than 30 minutes from their dealership. -- That's chinsy.

I second that Colin. When I flew to Vancouver to see my Z06 at Miles End Motors, Cletus (yes that is his name!) picked me up in a black Porsche 911 Turbo and gave me a very spirited ride back to the dealership. For that sort of money being spent I'd expect a pickup at the airport and lunch too!!

Good luck with the inspection and purchase if so.

Cheers,

Garry

Any pics of the car? Is it an Ebony/Linen 4LT 6 speed manual?

Hey Rob, here are some pictures of the car that Paul bought, it was an automatic but from what I could tell it either was 4LT, or optioned just like one. It had the upgraded seats with the emblem, NPP, had the larger sway bars (z51 probably), 2 tops - targa and painted etc etc. I was told that an 83 year old traded it in for a new C7.

Paul ... these were the pictures I was going to send you, either send me an e-mail or download them from this posting.

I thought I might know the car, but if it's an auto, I don't. Sorry.
Thanks for the pics Bruce.

Um Rob -- Looks like it Brian Giles of W/N ..

How to Contact Wilson Niblett

You going to let a couple of guys from Cambridge show more hospitality to our member Paul than you guys at Wilson N. who's coming all the way from New Brunswick to buy a Corvette??????

I honesty can't believe that you'd miss that opportunity to step up.
I really hope you do Brian Giles. After all it is only 28 minutes from Pearson to W/Niblett.

Sincerely,
Colin. (of the Colin and Terry team.:D)

Hi Colin ... just to set things straight .. my name is Bruce Giles, don't want things to get messy as a result of mistaken identity.

No worries Bruce -- so you're not the bgiles of W/N

So where is Brian then? Why isn't he in here? The invite is still open. :D

Don't worry Bruce, you know I'd have your back if things got out of hand.

He is not from Nibblet. Bruce is a great guy and a very welcome addition to our forum. Nice to see him do some posting for a change.
:leaving:

My very first Corvette (01 coupe) now proudly sits in his garage. Couldn't be happier about it either.
