I purchased a 2006 C6 and the logo on the front fender is C6.R (see pic). All the research I have done suggests that the R stands for the racing model (really a convertible). The only thing that makes sence to me is that this logo comes with the Z51 performance package which my car has...The significance of the skull has to do with the logo on the race car. Does anyone know for sure??

The badge on your fender is a cosmetic badge that the previous owner stuck on there. A C6.R is a race car, and is not street legal, nor available for sale to the public at all.

Sorry man, it's just a sticker.

Thanks so much... Mystery solved...No need to be sorry, I just wanrted to know...Now I know......

Agree it does look pretty cool. Did Pratt and Miller start using the skull logo on the C6 version of the race car first? I don't think they used it on the C5 but could be wrong.

Interesting I got an email notice from the "One of a Kind" craft and art show in Toronto (think it is on now) and one of the featured artists was selling hand made knitted hats/gloves/mitts etc and they were using the Skull logo. I think it is a GM Trademark.

BDK, never mind it is an aftermarket piece it is a race car to you. Enjoy it.

Pratt and Miller did a limited run (only 7) street legal Corvette C6RS back in 2007 for 2008 at a cost of $330,000 U.S.
