[QUOTE="AlbertaZ06, post: 282527, member: 149"] A long week at Mikes of Mayhem! 5-Track events in 5 days at 4 tracks stretching across Alberta & Saskatchewan, over 1700 km of driving between tracks in +35 degree temperatures, with no A/C, stopping at check points. I decided to run 7.50 class, not the manual transmission class. 7.50 was a bracket class with closest to 7.50 + reaction time average over the week 😎. Day 0 - Started by trailering down to Medicine Hat, unloading and tech and test runs on Sunday. Day 1 - Medicine Hat, ended up with a first good pass, bad reaction time, but decided to take it and get on the road. We packed up and headed off to Saskatoon. Having valve train noise rolling into Swift Current, where we had rocker arm troubles 😬. Patched it together, finishing the drive to the hotel. Found some parts in Saskatoon and repaired with used stock Ls parts. Day 2 - Raced in Saskatoon, ended up doing 2 passes because my first was to fast, handed in a 7.6 slip, Then drove off to Hardisty no issues, other than unbearable cab temperatures in the +35 degree heat! Day 3 - Drove the rest of the way to Forestburg did a one and done pass 7.7. Drove to Rimbey then back to Red Deer for the night, instead of a hotel Day 4 - Drove back to Rimbey in the early morning then raced, 7.509 pass perfect for 7.50 class, handed in the slip and Headed to Medicine Hat Day 5 - Got to the track, to fast on the first 2 passes, 3rd pass ran a 7.500 with a red light 🤦♂️ Ended up getting a 7.6 handed the slip in. My passenger/crew for the trip got some good videos and photos lifting a tire on my 7.31 at 103mph pass 😎😎. It is by far the longest week ever!! Hot temperatures, hours of driving, beating on your car on tracks, just trying to survive and make it to the next track. I went very easy this year on the car, not trying to get the best run, instead just easy launches keeping the axles and u-joints together shooting for 7.50. But what a blast!! Met some good people and seen some cool rides 👍. Going to post videos later.
