Question Buzzing sound from dash on C5

When you open the left door, a buzzing sound starts with no key in the ignition. It will stop while the car is being started and then resume once running. The security light is flashing on the dash also. The instrument cluster has been removed and found to be operative.
Looking for suggestions on next move.
