Brian Cullen Stingray List Numbers

Thanks. I just gave them deposits for the Stingray and E-Ray lists on Saturday, but I haven’t confirmed my actual numbers on each yet. I’ll follow up in a few days if I haven’t heard back. I know the E-Ray wait will be long, but I’m just considering that as a more long-term purchase. I’m still not 100% sold on electrics yet, but we may have no choice in the matter…

At this point your place on the list is last. lol. The point is moot to them right now. Did they say how long it would be for the stingray? As you get closer your place in line will get more important. People will drop off for whatever reason and you will go higher. It's more important at this point for their educated guess as to how long your wait will be. I'd guess at least a year.

Year to 18 months. I’ve been on the Spencer’s lists before, so not my first rodeo 😀. Decided to do Cullen this time since it is closer and I can visit them more easily. I’d like the car for next year ideally as I want one more summer with my 993.

I have never had a problem, but I only check every 4-6 months. When did you get on their Stingray list?

you can follow on Stingray "OFFICIAL LIST of who is on the list" thread
NO issue, but I only asked for an update about every 6-8 months....Tracy always replied back to my email fairly quick...

they usually say 18 month to 2 years, so if they said 1 year to 18 months that means there must be allot of dropouts on the list

yeah, no way it is 12 months, the big 3 are around 24 months right now, I know because I, like many others, are still on it. Aug '21 at BS and still no call, lucky for me allocation just now from an April '21 deposit with Finch. Unless people are dropping like flies now due to the economy and climbing C8 prices, it will probably be a solid 18-24 month wait, if you are lucky (and I do mean lucky), 18 with continuous dropouts.

Word of advice (others will likely say the same), I just lived it for the last 2 years, forget about the deposit and your place on the list, like it never happened.

After I placed my deposit (in '21) I was chasing updates, only to realize that the dealers are focused on their current and upcoming deliveries, and some will be kind enough to update you once in a while. So what I did was forget about my deposit, and only ask every 3-6 months. For example, I would ask around Christmas time, then maybe again either in March or towards by vacation time in June. The more time in between my updates, the more it looked and felt like I was moving along the list.

I felt so much better when I came to terms with just forgetting about it, let it ride out like an investment, and inquire every 3-6 months at most, will be less painful that way !!
During the rest of the time, this forum kept me sane (still does).

Good luck !!

I've been on the list since early May 2022; No idea about number but was told few months ago that it will be a early 2024 build.

At this point I'm Ok with the wait, except the price increases + luxury tax meaning 10's of thousands more from deposit day price to delivery day price.

I'm at 14 months now since deposit at Wilson Niblett and I have no idea what number I am or when I may get an allocation. I thought having a C8 to trade might help my cause but it obviously hasn't.
still surprises me when I read about guys having a C8 and in parallel leaving more deposits and waiting on another C8.

I am just wondering what the thought process is when doing so. Once I go to pickup my C8, I am not sure my mind will be thinking about getting another one (replacement), unless it is to get a Z06 which I can understand. Or maybe for some moving from a coupe to an HTC.

But are people leaving deposits just because they think they may want to try on a new color sometime in the future, or thinking that 2 years out the newer SR version will have changed with new options ?

Curious minds want to know (again). Seen lots of SR owners waiting to get their 2nd or 3rd one (replacements).

I ask because I have a 2nd deposit coming up for which I do not know what to do with it when the call comes in. If I am allowed to move it over to a Z06 list, it’s starting all over as my advanced spot on the list won’t help with that. And I cannot hand my allocation to someone else either, so kind of goes into the garbage.

All depends on how your dealer keeps the lists. Very few have a combined list, but you never know and it never hurts to ask.

Not sure about others but I'm doing it for a couple reasons. First off since I got my coupe in 2020 I have suffered a herniated disk in my spine so I can no longer take the targa roof off by myself. I need the HTC so all I have to do is press a button. The second reason is that this August my warranty will be up so I'm scared to have this thing without warranty since the trans and other components are so expensive to fix.

So that's its for me. My honest reasons for ordering another C8.

I put a deposit back in late Feb last year at Spencer and told myself I wouldnt even bother asking where I am on the list (I did get a number when I put my deposit down) until about a year has passed so I might check and see. My emails and text messages were ignored, and I wasn't able to get a call back from my sales person.

Me too! First hockey game of the season. L4/L5! If I still had my Camaro it would have been useless as I wouldn't have been able to use the clutch pedal for months. Luckily I have a dual clutch transmission that shifts for me. LOL

That is very rare for Spencer. I have purchased two C8s from them and their communication has always been superb. PM me with your sales man's name..

I was number ~160 or so when I placed my deposit 5 May, 2022.

Allocations since then,
2022
May = 7
June = 2
July = 7
Aug = 6
Sep = 6
Oct = 6
Nov = 12
Dec = 6
2023
Jan = 9
Feb = 4
Mar = 7

Heard there were 27 dropouts in last year.

Means I should be about 60-70 now.

And I have too much time on my hand lol, should’ve just called and asked.
