I have a 1990 and the brake lights are not lighting up when pushing the pedal. The Hazzard and blinkers work but all three do not come on when I push the brakes. I have pulled the switch and there is a capacitor on the connector that is broken on one side. I already ordered a new switch since it's cheap and I will see if that works out but I am wondering if the white box( I think is a capacitor) is something that would effect it or if it's ok. Any ideas or information you have I would greatly appreciate because I don't know too much about these cars electrical systems. Thanks in advance
